On March 28, Five associations of NY and NJ including SFT organized a prayer session with a candle light vigil at Union Square, New York where hundreds of Tibetans and supporters gathered. Before prayer starts, the organizers garlanded Mahatma Gandhi Statue with Khatag to show the spirit of Non-violent action for Tibetan freedom Struggle.
